Newmarket Transport Hub
The expansion and upgrade of the Newmarket Railway Station to form a more important transport hub feeding the inner city and southern and eastern suburbs was seen as a vital progression for the ARTA rail network. Armitage were chosen due to their system knowledge, experience and the success of the system upgrades that had occurred across the network from Britomart out to small suburban and rural stations on the outskirts of Auckland. The Newmarket hub required an exclusive engineering and technical onsite team to design and install communications equipment, CCTV, access control, emergency telephony, PA and fire protection systems. Armitage completed this task inside both time and budget boundaries.
