Auckland Regional Transport Authority Railway Station Upgrade
After the successful upgrade of the Britomart Transport Centre Armitage were chosen as technical contractor to upgrade the ARTNL/ARTA network of railway stations and transport hubs as each line of the network was upgraded. This required Armitage to work with numerous consultancy and construction companies to fulfill the requirements of the Auckland Regional Transport Authority and provide a consistent appearance and system operation for the public and operators alike. Armitage have provided a specialized team encompassing design, construction and maintenance to ensure that with each upgrade and addition to the current railway network the entire system is both operational and able to communicate with the new station. Included in the system upgrade has been a fibre network feeding CCTV, access control, emergency help points and lighting, passenger information systems, PA and more latterly fire protection systems.
